The Ginkgo Display Stand is an ideal stand for the Goose Pysanky and Chicken Easter Eggs. This Ginkgo display stand has a story, and here it goes. As a Pysanky Artist, I always think about how best to display my Batik Art Eggs. And often customers look for new and interesting designs as well.
It must have been the Fall season in Toronto. As I was walking on my street where we have many Ginkgo trees, I remember the leaves were yellow and falling, it was a very sunny day. I picked up a few and as I was twisting them in my hand. I thought about how beautiful they are, can this be a new design for my Pysanky display stands? That day I had a few sketches done, I made a model from the materials I had on hand in my studio. Shortly after my Blacksmith had a new order. In Japanese decorative art, the Ginkgo’s distinctive fan-shaped leaf has carried symbolism along with its singular beauty: the ginkgo has been a symbol of longevity.
