Pysanka egg with Cross Ukrainian Easter egg traditional pattern
by
USD 60.00 – USD 70.00
Pysanka is a Ukrainian egg cross pattern, decorated with traditional folk designs using a wax-resist method. The word pysanka comes from the verb pysaty, “to write”, as the designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax. Chicken egg is emptied and washed, dried and then hand painted with a hot beeswax tiny tool called Kistka, dyed in several colors and varnished. Do not display Pysanky eggs in direct sun. Egg holder is not included but there many to choose from in my web shop
